This was a fun episode, though I have to admit it took me a while to get into it.
First, the things I loved:
- Spike totally geeking out! LOL! He was smiling pretty much the entire episode and completely in his element. Awesome!
- Greg! Greg was fantastic! Loved the little exchanges between him and Spike about Greg being old school and low tech and I also loved how Spike's gentle ribbing made him smile. As I've said before, I think Spike can get away with a lot, because really, he's so good-natured and that smile of his is so endearing...who could ever get mad at him? ;o)
- Getting to know a bit more about Sam's family. Will get back to that in a minute.
- Jules doing her thing talking the kid down. She was very convincing and I liked that Wordy was there to cover her for a change instead of Sam. It really surprises me that Greg still seems to be pairing her up with Sam a lot considering they're under such scrutiny.
The things I didn't love:
- Natalie. Man, she got on my nerves. It's just first impressions and she may grow on me depending on how she's developed in future episodes, but right now I can't say I'm a fan. Oh, and please, PLEASE don't have her hook up with Spike!
- Jamie and his followers. It took me a while to get into this episode because they annoyed me so much. Jamie/Darcy did grow on me and I actually really felt for him at the end, but I spent half the episode being annoyed and that took away some of the enjoyment for me.
Still, I already rewatched the ep three times (particularly the scenes with Spike and Greg ;o)), so it's not like I hated the ep. It was fun and there were some awesome character moments, but it's just not my favourite kind of ep ;o)
