Nice little tidbit about the Flashpoint cast

A little while ago someone over at the Official Flashpoint Facebook page (if you're on FB, check it out, it's great) asked which actor on the show was most like their character, and one of the producers of the show replied:

“Sergio is so lovely and instantly likeable--just like Spike. Not sure that he's a geek though. Hugh smiles a lot more than he does in the show--not nearly as intense. David isn't cocky as he appears in the show. Enrico is charming and funny--seems a lot younger in person. Amy Jo is quiet, perhaps moreso than Jules. I found Mike Cram and Wordy to be very different. Both are very sweet, but Mike Cram has more lift to his personality (does that make sense?).”

Really, it doesn't surprise me at all that Sergio Di Zio is most like his character on the show; they both just ooze likability somehow! I wonder if it's the smile or the dimples...or his voice? Sergio just seems like a very gentle and genuinely friendly guy (yeah, just like Spike ;o)).  Also, I agree that Enrico seems much younger in interviews (and BTS pics) than he does when he plays Greg Parker. And David -- when I saw him on Marilyn, I was really surprised at how different he seemed! Sam does come across as a bit cocky on the show, but David himself struck me as friendly (if a little mischievous ;o)) and even a tiny bit shy sometimes.

This doesn't surprise me at all, either. None of his descriptions do. Well, maybe Amy Jo's description. She's guitar playing tattoo girl, I wasn't expecting quiet.

Sergio tweets about comic books, so I'd say he's geek. ;) But awesome. I've not seen much out there with interviews with him, but he seems very cool.

As for David, I've always gotten the impression that he's not the 'gung ho' guy at all. He just seems... more 'zen' when he's not in character. I don't know how to describe it, I was gonna say "gentle" but that kind of implies I don't think he's 'manly' and that's not it at all. I did buy the dvd for 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer' last Halloween because I knew he was in it and it was $2, and his character is a preppy, arrogant jerk. He cracks me up in the BTS footage because he points out his character's lame outfit and says 'can you take a guy like this seriously?' He's definitely not Sam.

And you know I'm gonna agree on EC. ;) He definitely seems very charming in interviews. Very into his work and causes he cares about.

Yeah, I was kinda surprised at that one myself. Didn't know she was a tattoo girl but she just never struck me as a quiet person.

Did you see the interview the guys did on Marilyn earlier this year? It's awesome. The questions could've been a lot better, but the guys were really cool and Sergio especially was adorable. Let me know if you'd like to see it, 'cause I could probably upload it for you.

I'd never seen David in anything before Flashpoint so I was kind of used to him as Sam. But he certainly seems very different from Sam in the interviews I've seen him in since then.

Oh, and I don't think "manly" and "gentle" are mutually exclusive at all. I like gentle men. There should be more of them ;o)

She's got at least two that I've noticed.

After I read this I found it on youtube. It was fun. Sergio and Michael Cram were both adorable, I thought.

Flashpoint and taht horrible movie are the only things I've seen him in. I've got a bunch of stuff in my netflix queue with stuff the cast has been in, but haven't watched it yet.

Totally agree. ;)

They definitely were! Very sweet :o) Did you also see the short behind the scenes bit? It's hilarious :o)

I just watched it again because I didn't remember a behind the scenes bit, and it wasn't in the clip. Now my curiosity is piqued. ;)

I swear I'm not a slasher, but it did make me laugh at just now often Enrico put his hand on Hugh's leg and how Hugh tended to have his arm resting on the back of Enrico's chair.

It's a short BTS clip in which the boys are asked a few more questions. It's really funny as they're a lot more relaxed and a lot less serious ;o) I'll try to upload it for you this weekend.

*chuckles* Yes, Enrico and Hugh were very cute together ;o) But I really like that they feel comfortable enough around each other that they don't feel awkward about that kind of thing. Also adored Sergio briefly putting his hand on Michael's back/shoulder after he joked that "it's fun to work next to Michael". It's so obvious that they all genuinely care about each other, and I love seeing that. :o)

I know, right? It's nice to know the cast gets along, for some reason. It just makes it more enjoyable.

and thanks for posting the bts clip!
