I agree that everyone has a soft spot for Spike. I guess since I'm contempating a character death fic I've been thinking about how the team would react if someone else died and I've come to the conclusion that any death would be rough, but if something were to happen to Spike it would CRUSH the team.
And I agree with you that in the long run Sam will transfer to another team.
