I'm getting more and more impressed with how much effort ION is putting into promoting Flashpoint. Here's a short interview with the Flashpoint cast (minus Sergio and Clé Bennett :o() at the ION Flashpoint premiere event in New York that took place a few days ago. The interview contains a couple of clips from unaired episodes, one of which is a little spoilery for JAM fans, so beware.

So. Sam's thinking about taking a position overseas? EEP! It's a good thing I already know David's not leaving the show or I'd be really worried! Looking forward to seeing how this is gonna play out.
Either way, new Flashpoint ep "A New Life" next week! FINALLY! :oD

Date: 2011-10-27 03:20 pm (UTC)And thanks for posting the clip, I enjoyed it! ION is much better at pushing the show than CBS. It's too bad Sergio and Cle weren't there, I'd have liked to have seen them!

Date: 2011-10-28 07:30 pm (UTC)I dunno... I don't think Jules is happy with the way things currently stand, especially now that Greg knows and has confronted them with it. Or maybe she is happy with the status quo, but I think she knows it could blow up in their faces any minute. They could all lose their jobs and I doubt she likes to have that hanging over their heads like some sword of Damocles.
But yeah, I agree with you that it seems that Sam's the one who wants more. In fact, I think Sam's always been the one who wanted more, which is kinda funny 'cause so often on TV-shows it's the woman who wants more ;o)
And you're welcome! Yeah, I woulda liked to have seen Sergio and Clé there too, but I guess Sergio couldn't make it because of his play and Clé...well, maybe he's on vacation or something ;o)

Date: 2011-11-06 06:25 am (UTC)I've always felt like Jules is willing to block out the implications if she can convince herself that she won't need to break up the team and also have a relationship with Sam. I'm not saying I think she's happy to be putting everyone's jobs at risk, but that this is something she's maybe become too good at convincing herself will come out okay, no matter what. We all have something like that, that we're a bit delusional about, you know?

I know, right? ;) It seems to me that Sam's always been the one who doesn't really want to hide the relationship. I think, as much as he loves the team, he'd be okay leaving it, if it meant not having to be secretive about how he feels about Jules. I believe she's the one who doesn't want things to change.
Your icon makes me laugh. ;) I love that picture. The first time I saw it, with his comment "occassionally Paetkau breathes" I giggled.
