I managed to keep it dry the past couple of episodes, but wow, this one definitely opened the floodgates! Awesome episode with teamy moments and, well, sadness.
So. Parkinson's. *sighs* I still do NOT want Wordy to leave, but at least he's still alive and they're keeping the door open for him to return or at least make a guest appearance. In fact, Mark Ellis tweeted yesterday that Wordy'll be back, so I'm already looking forward to an appearance or two. I kinda hope they'll mention him in passing from time to time, just to show us that they still hang out and that he's still a part of the family.
That they didn't kill Wordy doesn't mean I didn't weep like a baby during the locker room scene. Michael Cram did an amazing job and I'm really, really going to miss his character. It was a great scene though and it showed us how much the team cares about each other. We even got a team hug! Well, sort of... (not sure about Sam, but come on, Spike totally joined in! ;o)).
I'm glad that Wordy had already told Greg about his condition and that he hadn't knowingly been putting his team at risk, because that just would not have fit with the way I see his character. Not quite sure what to think of GREG keeping it a secret from Ed, but Wordy's 'honour' remains intact and I think he got a graceful and worthy send-off.
Anyway, I thought this was an awesome ep! Lotsa action and intense moments and I enjoyed every minute of it. Also, my love for Spike is ever growing! "That thing I'm not asking about? I'm here. Just sayin'." Seriously, who wouldn't want a friend like that? Still not crazy about the idea of Natalie and Spike getting romantically involved, but I did think Spike talking about how Natalie called him was cute (though he was totally mentioning it just to get Wordy to smile ;o)).
