Stargate movies
Oct. 8th, 2008 11:31 amThe other day I was thinking about what I'd like to see in future SGA movies (aside from major Shep whump, obviously) and to my own surprise my thoughts led me to a crossover movie with SG-1. Don't get me wrong, I want the SGA movies to be about the SGA characters, not about SG-1, but I was thinking if they were to do a major crossover movie aside from the respective SGA and SG-1 movies, I'd be all for it.
I mean, I know that's probably never gonna happen, since the salaries of all these major players combined are gonna be through the roof, but I'd love to see this huge action-adventure spectacle in which Earth is in such terrible danger that both the Atlantis team and SG-1 are called upon to save the day. I can just see this awesome scene with the eight of them back-to-back, guns blazing, with Sheppard coming up with a brilliant, if rather rash, plan, Cam agreeing with it almost immediately, and Rodney and Sam feverishly trying to figure out how to make it work. I would love to see the eight of them together like that, fighting for their lives, for each other and for mankind. (yes, I do have a sense for the overly dramatic sometimes).
But like I said, it's never gonna happen and if I had to choose between getting an SGA movie or a crossover with SG-1, I would go for an SGA movie, no question. It's just fun to think about what-ifs ;o)
